Snowboarder Eric Willett Joins Quiksilver
Huntington Beach, CA (November 8, 2010) –Quiksilver is proud to have snowboarder Eric Willett now riding with the Quiksilver snow team. The 22-year-old is one of snowboarding’s major up-and-comers having racked up world-class slopestyle wins worldwide last winter. Willett’s smooth style and pocket full of double corked tricks mix into slopestyle runs and shine brightly in big air contests.
“Everything Quiksilver makes is sick! I remember when I was younger and seeing Quiksilver outerwear and thinking it was the raddest stuff,” says Willett. “And they’ve got some of the best riders on their team. I’m stoked be a part of it!”
Look for more from Eric Willett and Quiksilver Snow soon!

For Miles Kurosky, former leader of indie rock heroes Beulah, the nearly six years since the demise of the San Francisco-based band have been the best and worst of times. The best: he married the woman he met during the final Beulah tour, wrote the most personal and sophisticated music of his career, and recorded his first-ever solo album, The Desert of Shallow Effects. The not-so-good: Along the way he suffered from severe shoulder problems that made playing the guitar—and even lifting his arm—impossible and required two reconstructive surgeries. Then, just as he was recuperating, he was struck by kidney troubles that also required hospital time. Talk about kicking them while they’re down… We wish Miles all the best in his continued recovery. Hear his track “Dead Language Blues” in this video about our collaboration with Uprise.
