Botany is Spencer Stephenson, a young Texan whose creative output materializes every breed of off-the-wall electronic blip and bleep one can muster. Botany’s bed of chaotic noise functions as a foundation for powerful rhythms, dynamic melodies, and random sounds that pulse and move, with layers of droning patterns and ghostly samples erupting into sparkling choruses and massive hooks. Feeling Today, the new EP that’s Stephenson’s first release under the name Botany, is available now through Western Vinyl.
