Day 1 of the Quiksilver Pt. Magu Surf contest saw a small but consistent swell in the water. The Military, Open Men, Young Guns, Women, and Bodyboard Divisions surfed the famed California surf break all day. The crowd was pumped to get access to the naval base that Pt. Magu is at to see the surfers compete. The Quiksilver and Roxy tents rocked all day with kids playing games for prizes. Day 2 will be expecting better waves from the tropical storm ‘Greg’ that was off the coast of Mexico. Check back tomorrow for the finals and more shots from the Quiksilver Pt. Magu surf contest.
